FAQ

  • What should I wear?

Dress Code: "Surprise Us!" What in the hinhay does that mean?

Be fancy, not stuffy. You can wear Black Tie, but don't forget to let your freak flag fly. Let yourself (and your alter ego) shine honey!

  • What's a Bedeken?

A bedeken (Hebrew for “covering”) is a traditional Jewish wedding custom in which the groom veils the bride just before the ceremony, representing the idea that love is based not on outward beauty but on inner character.

According to mystical teachings, the bride embodies the Shechinah (the feminine presence of God). It is said that the prayers and blessings of a bride on her wedding day carry special power. Even those not attending the wedding ask for blessings, trusting the bride’s connection to the divine realms.
